Curiosity Tree is a curriculum and an adaptive learning platform for homeschool families, designed to remain parent-directed. It brings Knowledge Trees, interactive lessons, tutor tools, planning, assessment, progress tracking, and records into one connected experience.

It is being designed for families who homeschool independently, use co-ops or outside classes, combine multiple resources, or want one comprehensive platform. Parents remain the educational decision-makers.

A Knowledge Tree is Curiosity Tree’s term for a course. Each Tree contains a published scope and sequence, prerequisite roots, connected branches of study, lessons, activities, assessments, projects, and mastery expectations.

No. Curiosity Tree is a curriculum and an adaptive learning platform, not a school. It does not enroll students, supervise a family’s legal homeschool, or award accredited diplomas, degrees, or institutional credit.

The long-term curriculum library is planned to span kindergarten through grade 12, with advanced Knowledge Trees at college, graduate, and seminary levels. Advanced labels describe academic depth, not institutional credit.

The library is planned to include mathematics, language arts, science, history and social studies, world languages, fine arts, technology, life and career studies, electives and independent study, and Biblical and Theological Studies.

Christian Knowledge Trees intentionally integrate a Christian worldview where appropriate. Secular Knowledge Trees teach the target academic competencies without devotional framing. The perspective will be identified clearly before a parent assigns a Tree.

Yes. Parents will be able to choose the pathway that fits each subject and learner rather than being required to select one worldview setting for the entire family.

Yes. Each published Tree is intended to show its objectives, prerequisites, lesson order, vocabulary, materials, estimated time, assessment plan, and mastery expectations so parents can understand what is being taught.

Yes. Evidence may include low-stakes checks, quizzes, tests, writing, oral responses, labs, performances, projects, portfolios, and cumulative review. The evidence used will fit the subject and learning objective.

Readiness checks, lesson responses, assessment results, error patterns, and retention checks are connected to prerequisite skills. When evidence points to a weak root, the platform can explain the likely gap and recommend focused repair.

The learner receives proportionate support on the missing prerequisite, practices it with feedback, and completes a short verification. Once the root is secure, the learner returns to the original lesson without unnecessarily repeating an entire grade or course.

Yes. Placement and progress are subject-specific. A learner may move ahead in one branch while receiving more support in another, without being reduced to a single grade-level label.

Always. Recommendations are designed to show the evidence and likely benefit. Parents can approve, change, defer, or skip a recommendation and remain in control of pacing and assignments.

Parents can prefer or disable optional visual, auditory, read/write, interactive, movement, and hands-on elements at the learner, Knowledge Tree, or lesson level. A temporary session adjustment can also respond to what a learner needs that day.

Optional supports can be adjusted, but an element required to measure or teach the objective will not be silently removed. For example, listening is essential in a listening-comprehension task. The platform will explain why and offer an accessible accommodation when one can preserve the objective.

Most digital lessons focus on one clear objective in about 5–15 minutes and use active practice, feedback, recall, and spaced return. Microlearning is the delivery rhythm—not a limit on rigor. Books, essays, labs, projects, discussion, and sustained practice remain part of complete Knowledge Trees.

The planned tutor family includes Writing Tutor, Reading Tutor, Math Tutor, Language Tutor, Typing Tutor, and Tune Tutor. Each tool is designed around guided practice, useful feedback, and parent-visible progress.

Yes. Writing Tutor is planned to grade submitted papers, essays, research writing, and other written responses against the assigned rubric. It will provide a suggested score, a criterion-by-criterion breakdown, evidence from the student’s work, strengths, and prioritized next steps rather than returning only a number.

No. Parents can require approval before a suggested grade enters the gradebook. They can inspect the rubric evidence and revision history, accept or edit the score, add feedback, return the work for revision, or replace the suggested grade. Uncertain judgments are flagged for review.

No. The tutors are designed to prompt thinking, model a smaller step, diagnose an error pattern, and ask the learner to explain or try again. Responsible boundaries are part of each tool.

The goal is to support English and major world languages—including Spanish, French, German, and others—as well as American Sign Language. Available languages may expand in stages as high-quality content and feedback become ready.

Tune Tutor is a mnemonic learning tool that turns concepts from any subject into memorable musical reinforcement. It supports recall and practice; traditional music study remains part of the Fine Arts and electives curriculum.

No. They provide focused, on-demand practice and feedback while parents keep authority over goals, assignments, recommendations, and the larger learning plan.

Plans include family and learner calendars, flexible schedules, pacing views, daily and weekly assignments, breaks, rescheduling, material reminders, workload balancing, and progress alerts.

Yes. Families will be able to add co-ops, sports, field trips, books, service, outside classes, performances, and parent-created Knowledge Trees alongside Curiosity Tree work.

The platform is planned to let parents add their own materials and learning experiences, adjust pacing and assignments, and organize custom work inside the same planning and recordkeeping system.

Yes. A family dashboard is planned to provide both a whole-family view and separate plans, preferences, progress, and records for each learner.

Planned records include Knowledge Tree completion, grades, assessment history, mastery evidence, attendance or instructional activity, reading and project logs, portfolios, course descriptions, and family-maintained unofficial transcripts.

Parents are intended to retain final educational authority. They will be able to review platform evidence, add outside work and observations, and make documented grading decisions appropriate to their homeschool.

No. The platform can help a family create detailed records and an unofficial transcript. A parent, umbrella school, private school, or other authorized institution determines which official documents it may issue.

The parent or legal homeschool administrator remains responsible for enrollment status, filings, attendance, required testing or evaluation, credit decisions, graduation requirements, and other obligations that apply where the family lives.

Acceptance is determined by the receiving institution. Families should ask schools, colleges, scholarship programs, athletic organizations, military pathways, and other organizations what documentation or credentials they require.

No. Those labels describe the depth and complexity of the content. They do not award college credit, graduate credit, transfer credit, degrees, ordination, professional licensure, or seminary credentials.

The early beta is planned for fall 2026, with the official launch planned for the 2027–28 school year. Dates and beta capacity may change as the platform and curriculum are tested.

Pricing has not yet been announced. We are committed to making Curiosity Tree affordable for homeschool families, including families working within a careful budget. Plan details will be shared before early access opens.

The marketing website submits the email address you provide to the early-access list and shows a confirmation. The address may be used for product news, curriculum previews, launch information, beta opportunities, and related Curiosity Tree updates.

No. The current website is a static informational site. It does not create learner accounts or collect coursework, grades, payment information, or student education records.

The current policy states that Curiosity Tree does not sell personal information or use early-access emails for third-party behavioral advertising. Privacy terms will be expanded before the future learning platform collects student information.
